SUPER AUSTENITICO S31254

UNS S31254, also known by the trade name 254 SMO, is a high-molybdenum super austenitic steel designed to withstand extreme corrosion conditions. It has high resistance to pitting corrosion, seawater and environments with high levels of chlorides. Due to their properties, pipes made of S31254 are used in the marine industry: for heat exchangers, pumps and valves in seawater environments; in the chemical industry: for aggressive fluid transport systems, tanks and reactors; in desalination plants: for reverse osmosis systems and pipelines; in the food industry: for high purity food and beverage processing components.
