These chrome-molybdenum steel tubes are largely used in the motorsport and aerospace fields; they present good ductility, very high strength and low weight, excellent workability and weldability; very good characteristics for applications in aircraft and vehicles (frames, roll cages and other components). 

It is largely used in the United States as an alternative to 25CrMo4.
